They didn’t know of God’s secret plan. They didn’t hope for the reward that holiness brings. They didn’t consider the prize they would win if they kept their whole beings free from stain.
And they knew not the secrets of God, nor hoped for the wages of justice, nor esteemed the honour of holy souls.
They have never known God's secrets, never hoped for the rewards of a holy and blameless life.
And they did not know the hidden counsels of God; neither did they count on a recompense for holiness nor discern the innocent souls’ reward.
They did not discern the hidden plans of God, or hope for the recompense of holiness or recognize the reward destined for innocent souls.
and they did not know the secret purposes of God, nor hoped for the wages of holiness, nor discerned the prize for blameless souls;
and they did not know the secret purposes of God, nor hoped for the wages of holiness, nor discerned the prize for blameless souls;
and they did not know the secret purposes of God, nor hoped for the wages of holiness, nor discerned the prize for blameless souls;
